Letters to Teachers

Mostly self-explanatory. Written for the wonderful teachers who taught me this year.

Mr. Martin,

Throughout the year, i realize that i have
not been your "model student". I havent been
able to fully understand much about
chemistry, but didnt want to quit honors or
ask for help. I was embarassed and nieve,
and it got the best of me. I thank you for
this school year, regardless, because you
have taught me that without fully applying
myself or trying my absolute hardest to
grasp a subject, i wont be able to just
coast by.

Mrs. E,

I realize that i have not been a very good
student to you this year, and i hope you
might forgive me for that. Instead of asking
for help on things i didnt fully understand,
i sat in silence and tried to figure it out
on my own. You have been such a great
teacher and wonderful role model, but even
though you made math more fun, i still tried
to do things by myself. This proved to be
my downfall, as
i am not very good at math and it takes me
a seemingly longer while to understand it.

Mr. E,

Youve taught me since last year in World
History, so you know how easily i get caught
up in other things instead of schoolwork.
This year i had honestly planned to change
things, but i somehow actually ended up
making my habits even worse for a lot of my
classes. Your Psychology class was truly
one of my favorite and most interesting
classes, but even that was no match for my
unparalleled procrastination. Maybe one day
psychology will develop a cure for THAT!
haha. I only hope you  can forgive me for not being a
better student these years ive known you.

Mr. Markum,

This may be the most shameful letter i have
ever written to a teacher, and yet i feel it
must be said. I couldnt be more sorry that
i wasnt the student you deserve this year.
In class i may be alright, but i havent
taken as much initiative in my assignments
as i ought to. You have been my favorite
teacher this year, and ive learned so much
more from your class than i have in years
of other history classes. You have a truly
unique and endearing teaching style that i
sincerely wish i had shown more grattitude for.

Mrs. Bass,

You probably know me better than anyone at
this high school. Youve taught me for 3
years and seen me through many rough times.
In a lot of ways, you remind me of my own
mother, because you always really looked out
for me with all your best intentions and
made sure to scold me when you know im not
doing as well as i should. For half of this
school year, you have constantly reminded
me to keep up with my work, but, as you
know, i have a terrible habit of getting
off task; a habit i sincerely regret.
I only hope that you
can forgive me for not being the student
you deserve, or as bright and devoted as
i was my freshman year. I can never thank
you enough for everything youve taught me,
especially outside of class. You are truly
one of my greatest teachers, and im sorry.
