The Reeeally Long Apology Blog
If youre a loyal audience member, you have been mighty confused for nearly a month now. Ive written nothing of any value ever since i went jobhunting (no, sadly, that doesnt mean i got a job), and when i did post stuff it was just random cryptic lines like "funny russian mama". You poor, poor, people. Did i lose my password? No. Did i get hacked? No. Did i get a virus? Well, yes, but not on this website and thats not the main reason i havent written anything. Im ashamed to say, ladies and gentleman, that i have simply stopped blogging for all this time because of laziness and procrastination. The worst part is that i stopped blogging at pretty much the MOST exciting time of my entire summer! But worry not, young bloggers, i shall make it up to you by explaining EVERYTHING in this blog. It will be long. Very long. So be warned, because here comes a month's worth of drama and news.
First things first. Remember that sleepover i went to at Tiffany's house? Well it was fun and everything but i didnt know how greatly it would change my love-life. The guy that i mentioned, Brady, started texting and flirting with me shortly after the party was over. Not too suspicious considering i was stuck wearing short shorts the entire party, but i digress. Brady wasnt the only one: It seems as though ever since summer started ive been apparently more attractive to guys. I had recently joined a teen dating site (lame, i know, but i was curious) and met a lot of great, funny guys, including a hot, witty valedictorian from Orlando. He turned out to be a perv, though, and he played hard to get so much that it wasnt fun anymore, just off-putting. Then there was Andre, who i already told you about, but he wasnt all he was cracked up to be. In reality, he turned out to be paranoid and afraid of everything (including the movies), desperate for commitment, and possibly (no lie!) have a mental instability. The website turned out to be a virus-hotspot, too. I almost feel bad saying it all, but i try to keep this blog as honest as possible. Which brings me to my next bit of unfavorable news......
I COULD POSSIBLY FAIL THE SCHOOL YEAR.
Shocking, i know. I didnt even see it coming, but when i got a letter in the mail saying i didnt have enough credits, my dad stormed in like a madman and demanded an explanation. You see, ive been a bad girl. Ive lied to a lot of people about my grades, parents, teacher, and friends included. I thought if i didnt tell anyone i was letting my grades slip i wouldnt cause any drama and i would pull through and not have to worry about it.
But instead i never brought them back up in time. I have to make up a semester of Algebra 2 in summer school, and a semester of APUSH on Florida Virtual School as well as Chemistry Honors, all before the next school year starts. Scary, huh? I cant believe i let it get this bad, but sometimes thats just how it is with me: i try to do things all by myself and then i cant handle all the pressure. Oh yeah, and lets not forget the 4 summer reading books i have to finish, too. (The Hobbit, The Fountainhead, Unwind, and How to Read Literature Like A Professor) But this time at least i wont be alone, and as long as i try to think positively about it, maybe itll teach me a lesson.
I was blessed with good timing after my bad news, though. My parents planned a family vacation to Disney only 2 days after we found out about my grades, and since it was already paid for and summer school didnt start until July 8th, my parents decided to be lenient with me. The bonding was exactly what we needed to get everyone's mind off things (especially me). It was a blast, and everyone had such a great time. Thats what all those random posts were about, by the way, because i didnt have access to a computer at Disney so to remind myself of all the funny stuff that happened i texted everything to my blog and viola. But since the Disney trip is SOOOO long and detailed, ill just do a different post all about it and continue with what happened the rest of my missing time.
When we got back, things were relatively normal. All we did was battle each other on Guitar Hero World Tour (I am the unsurpassed champ of the Medium Level! lol) and lounga about and watch movies. FLVS hasnt approved my online classes yet, so im basically just waiting for it all to begin so i can work hard and get it all done in time to graduate. I forgot to mention, by the way, that throughout the entire Disney trip Brady had been texting me. Just talking about randomness and flirting every single day, and this continued once i got home. Long story short, the next time we met up at Tiffany's house we made it official that we were dating. No more "MyLOL.net" for me! haha But, again, since there is so much more i want to tell you about how i went from "Single" to "In a Relationship" in just a few days, i will save it for a separate blog. Dont worry, ill do a blog on my annoying hair, too. lol
Ive grown more and more anxious and excited about driving each day. I feel a thousand times more comfortable than when i first started, and no longer fear night driving, driving in rain, long trips, or 4 way intersections. lol Parking is still a bit iffy and i still need some practice staying in the center of my lane, but besides that all systems are GO! These last few days, especially, i have been just itching to get on the road. I pre-set all my own radio stations in my car, had my own key made, burned 2 cd's titled "Christy Car Jams", and have been actively hunting for keychains, bumper stickers, and fuzzy dice. The PT Cruiser is officially mine. The only problem is i STILL have to ask an adult to sit in the front with me when i drive. Bummer! haha Grandma's too lazy to pry herself out of her computer chair, so i usually have to wait until the 'rents get home, in which case they might be tired or annoyed from a long day's work. With any luck, though, my driver's test will be taken next week, so i have the freedom to go wherever the wind blows me (as long as i ask permission). haha
That about sums it up. Sorry i made you wait in eager suspense to hear all the news! lol Keep on the lookout for 4 more coming posts coming VERY soon, hopefully sometime today. If not, remember that its hard to sneak on my brother's computer sometimes because mine wont work because of that dumb virus. Anyway, the blogs will be about 1) Disney, 2) Brady, 3) My Hair's increasing annoyance, and 4) Chelsea's Mom
I know #4 sounds like a joke, but its not, but i didnt want to talk about it in this blog because its kindof depressing and i want my first post back to end on a happy note. So without further ado, i bring this blog to a close. Thank you for sticking with me even when i slacked off, youre a real trooper :)
Stay Nifty! ;)

Dear Pat Benatar: Job Hunting is a Battlefield!
Why the title? Because i felt like it :) Hello my little minions! (or big minions; i dont discriminate! lol) Today i will tell you alllll about my exciting, rush-filled day of filling out applications. You see, i am 17 and just finished my junior year, which means that next year i will be a senior, and senior year stuff costs a LOT of dough. Being that my parents arent fabulously wealthy like i someday hope to be, i decided to start taking matters into my own hands. Little did i know i may as well just be a professional job-application-filler-outer (it works!).
I was out getting groceries and things with my parental lobes (inside joke, courtesy of scott and psychology class), when i suddenly remembered one of my top summer resolutions: Get a job. So i scampered off to the Publix application center and typed all my information gleefully into their database. It took 20 minutes for the information portion and 30 minutes for the questionnaire. By the way, theres no seat! So after standing at this computer for almost an hour, trying to decide whether i should "Tell my supervisor about Mandy's irresponsible behavior" or "Offer to help Mandy teach Dwayne the safety procedures", i realized that this may be a little tougher than i thought.
Walmart was no better; before i could even BEGIN filling out the application it made me create a whole walmart account. Then it asked a bunch of bullcrap questions before i could start filling out any information! So infuriating! I actually had to stop filling it out halfway through (it had been more than an hour!) and finish it later online. When i got home, however, it was easier to fill out applications because the smaller the buisiness (IE: local craft store or retail teen clothing) the less you have to fill out and the more they save for the interview.
Times like these are what make me appreciate the little conveniances of modern living, though. Without the internet i wouldve had to personally go to all SIXTEEN places i applied for and fill out a resume for each! Furthermore, websites are becoming more and more unionized and efficient, because they all put the online applications in the SAME place on the home page (the very bottom of the screen; the "careers" button in small print), and they all make you click the SAME buttons to get to the easy-for-teen jobs (click "search jobs", type in your zip code or city, pick the store(s), then click "hourly wages" or "in store jobs"). Hopefully with all this hard work, i will get at least ONE interview, preferably from Walgreens, Walmart, Publix, Five Guys or the Starbuck's in Target.
Want to hear something phenomenal, though? As i was checking my email a few minutes ago for any replies from all these applications, (wishful thinking, i know, but it couldnt hurt) i had received 3 EXTRAORDINARY emails from people who read this blog! For one, i was shocked the other day when a few people simply clicked the "like" button on my blog link, but now i was getting ACTUAL feedback! If those people are reading this right now, they know who they are, but for those of you who arent them i will go into a little more detail and flatter them repeatedly for renewing my love for this humble hobby.
One was actually from "Jacob", a web designer who commented on the flow of my page and the spunk in my writing. Your comments were well thought out and oh-so-helpful, and i share many of your opinions on writing technique. Thanks for your thoughts, Jacob! :)
The second was from another friendly web designer named Daphne. She gave me great feedback on my writing that i truly appreciate, as well as a personal invitation to HER new website! Im not sure if she wants this to be kept secret for now or not, because the site was by invitation only (lucky me!), but i WILL let you in on what the site is about. It's a networking site centered around fashion where people can post pics of different outfits and styles and allow other members to deem what's hot and what's not. I especially enjoyed this feature, because though i am not particularly big on fashion, EVERYONE loves to be a critic. The layout of the site was simple to maneuver, easy to figure out and explore, and very fun and innovative. Thank you, Daphne, and let me know when the site goes public so i can REALLY advertise for you! :)
This last message was quite blush-worthy, as it comes to me from a humble fan who simply loves my work. I am utterly flattered. Furthermore, this young man, "Andre", told me that i seemed interesting and fun to be around.. so he sort of asked me out. I know, so exciting! I wouldnt want to put his privacy at risk, but i will say that he's adorable, sweet, and interested in aviation and photography. I see nothing but endless possibilities with this guy, so wish me luck! And special thanks to you, Andre, cant wait to get you know you better :)
All these emails made me wonder: Are there others who wish to comment on my site? Do they want to write me something but dont feel like opening a blogger account, much in the same way i dont have a youtube account? Well heres my solution! Within the next few days (probably today.. probably right after im done writing this), i will find some creative way to make my email address more prominent for all you lovely readers out there, whether it be a separate page or an altered logo pic (probably the latter). This way, all you brilliant fans can comment to your heart's content! Maybe if YOU have a crush on me, too, you can joust with Sir Andre for my love! ;) lol Until then , here's my personal email address if you just become to antsy to wait: fredthenoodle37@yahoo.com
Stay Productive! ;)

The Party Continues..
As i woke up this morning, i really started to get to know more and more about the leftover party guests around me. Mystic turned out to be a master burper, extremely witty, a beast on Rock Band drums, and best friends with Jackie. Brady plays guitar (and Rock Band guitar), has excellent taste in music, is funny and crazy and is used to being the only guy in this group of girls he calls "The Estrogen Ocean". Jackie doesnt even have a "lightbulb" for a brain, the group jokes, and it is really more of a candle. She constantly forgets what she's doing, even when she's on her way to the bathroom. She's the lovable blonde of the group.
Once everyone started getting out of bed, we decided to go to the mall and hang out, so all 5 of us piled into Mystic's car and drove of into the sunset. Since i was in the middle, i got to listen to whatever everyone was jammin to on the radio as well as what Brady was kind enough to share with me on his ipod, such as "Korn" and "lmfao". Yay for me! :) When we finally got there, i won a personal bet to myself that at least one person would drag us to the anime section of Books-A-Million, since this is apparently the "cool" thing to do that happens to me every time i go to the mall with a group. Where's my bookie when i need him! lol
We walked aimlessly around till we discovered a clothing store we liked; or rather, that the GIRLS in the group liked. lol Poor Brady had to stand around dawdling while we gabbed about clothes. I think i cheered him and everyone else up a bit, though, when i tried on this weird jumpsuit that looked like a hero costume. "Have no fear, 'Platinum Plush' is here!!" Im not makin this up, that's what was written on the front of the costume! Needless to say, i'll be going back for it later! lol
So we walked around, doing other unimportant things, and ate and browsed some more. Jackie and Mystic bought matching giant keys from Claire's so they could use them for their trademark best friend catchphrase, "Stick me!". Long story short, when something awesome happens at home, they say it and tap their Rock Band drumsticks together, but since they cant bring those everyowhere, they got the keys to use as replacements.......... I love my weird new friends :)
Stay Unique! ;)

Woot! Woot!
Dat's right, you've stumbled into a PARTY BLOG!!! lol Today Scott picked me up for this surprise party that he helped plan for our friend Tiffany. PS: i accidentally almost blew our cover a few days ago when i saw her and said:
"Hey, Tiff, cant wait for the paarrrr..." "..What?" "..Uh.. You know, the party?" "Huh?" "Ohhhh, my bad, i meant the OTHER Tiffany. You know, from the play? Yeah, SHE'S havin a party. Phew!" lol Im so lame :)
Let me fill you in on the Who's Who of party go-ers:
-Me!
-Scott
-Tiffany (duh)
-Tiff's mom
-Tiff's sister, Jackie
-Tiff's Aunt(?) Tina
-Tiff's Cousin(?) Daniel, 8 yrs old and adorable
-Mystic (yes, thats her real name. Arent YOU jealous)
-Brittany, the hyper, lovable neighbor
-Brady
-Luz
-Cody
-Amanda
-Jackie's BF, John
It was a very loud party, and half of our time was wasted trying to get everybody to shut up and pay attention. Either way, we played Taboo like champs (my team won!). I spent a lot of game time trash-talking Daniel because it wasnt fair that "The Cute Dog", Marshmallow, was on their team. Every now and then we got Baby Girl or Sandy on our side, though, so it evened out. lol We broke out the Dance Dance Revolution mats a little later and then the party REALLY started! I pretty much suck at DDR, but there was some serious skills out there as i watched from the couch and sang along. The funny thing is that i was told it was gonna be a pool party, so i was wearing just my bathing suit with nothing else but some short shorts and a loosely tied-up shirt over it. Then it rained. Since i didnt bring anything else to wear, i was stuck in "Beach Barbie" mode all night. Near the end there was some drama because Scott couldnt relax very well and kept saying he was mad at everyone for wasting so much time. Furthermore, Brittany kept snuggling and cuddling all up on Brady, because she obviously likes him, but he's dating someone. Regardless, things settled down as more guests began to leave.
They asked if i could spend the night, and i gladly accepted. After everyone left it was just Tiff and her family, Brady, Mystic, and me. They set up Rock Band and started jammin out because they all knew all the songs because they had all played so many times together. I didnt know many of the songs. Of everyone there, i was "the new guy", becuase this was only my first time in my house while everyone else was rockin, BFF style. This situation was a little bit awkward at some moments, but for the most part i was kind of excited to be so eagerly accepted into the group. Daniel follwed me around like a little puppy dog, which was adorable and sweet and funny all at once. He kept asking me to watch him or play with him, and no matter how many times i switched seats he just bounced right along with me. He even follwed me to get a drink! :) He has some kind of sickness where he gets mucus stuck in his chest, so he had to play these games on the computer while wearing this vest thing that vibrated constantly to release the blockage, almost like burping a baby. Minus the mucus, he reminds me a lot of my cousin, Kody.
As it got later and we all started winding down for bed, they set up "I-Spy", a comedy i had never seen, and watched until the wee hours of the night. I had a weird dream about Brady trying to hit on me and 2 random friends of mine, so it made me want to slap him when i woke up. lol Wonder what tomorrow will bring...

All Aboard! - The Rollercoaster of Random Topics
That's right, you get TWO blogs today AND a cool title! WHOO!! Feel the rush? ;D lol This evening we will be talking about...
-oprah magazine
-stride's special mystery flavor
-ketchup and ramen
-cool new bands
-secret admirers
Let's Git 'Er Done, shall we? (i love how those are so conflicting) Alrighty, Oprah Magazine. Though i gotta respect a woman who's catchy company name, "Harpo", is just her name in reverse, i gotta say i dont usually read her magazine. Let's face it, who's on the cover of EVERY issue? (Hint: Oprah!) But either way, i was surprised to find an issue that truly titillated me. (caught my attention, pervs, look it up! lol) There was this quiz inside that i found quite interesting, entitled something like "How to Be the Person you Were Meant to Be". It listed a series of statements that you were to label 0-5 based on level of true-ness. You then score each section and find the corresponding personality type based on which section got the most points. Apparently, im adventurous, caring, intellectual, and entertaining. I find it funny how accurate the jobs they advised are: teacher, volunteer, traveler, entrepreneur, actress, advertiser, or blogger! Pretty cool, no?
Ok, now a more interesting topic: GUM! I spent like all night trying to figure out Stride's Mystery Flavor, and i can't seem to get a straight answer. All i know is that it smells and tastes citrus-y, so i think it may be lemon, orange, etc. Does anyone have a clue? Comment with your hypothesis :) Speaking of food, my friend Rick put ketchup in his ramen noodles today! EEEWW! Does anyone else do that? Is that normal? I love ketchup as much as the next guy, but even i have limits.
Today i have also been doing a little bit of band browsing, and after getting inside tips from two good friends, i have found some very good ones. The first is Pomplamoose, which, all you language buffs know, means pomegranate in french. Why is that relevant? No one knows, but it IS a catchy name. Their songs are very pop-ish with a great beat and great sound. They like to utilize the marracas, as well, which adds an interesting flare to their style and rythm. Totally my kind of music; You should look them up ;) Next is Flight of The Conchords, which are apparently a popular group in some circles, though i have never had the pleasure of hearing them till now. I like their beat, as well, and their musical "flavor" greatly resembles an oldies rock group, which i always find intriguing; almost in the same way Phoenix makes me think of the 60's. What makes them even more unique is their fabulous humor. In one particular song, they began to sing about sexy hermaphrodites. I almost died laughing :)
This last topic is probably the most interesting, but it may end up being a rant, so be warned. The weirdest thing happened to me today, and even now i can honestly say i never EVER saw it coming. There's this guy that i was in our last musical with, but we never talked more than 2 words to each other during the play, and that was fine with me because we both had our own lives going on. I went to a friend's party the other day (Lyquyen's party, where i said i got stuffed) and he was there. She invited him because she knew him too, and probably talked to him more than me, but it was nice to see him outside of school, i guess. He seemed a little more open and friendly. The next day he left me a random message saying "That was fun hanging out. We should do it again sometime ;) ". Kindof suspicious already, but i gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was just his way of being friendly. I never messaged back, simply because i thought nothing of it and it slipped my mind.
Today i got an IM from him out of the blue asking how i was, etc, just basic small talk. We had a friendly chat, though he was acting pretty flirtatious. Again, we had never talked or flirted in person, even at the party, so i assumed he was just naturaully charismatic or something. I made an excuse to go, saying i had to eat lunch, so he asked to txt. I was a little suspicious, but didnt see any harm in it, so i acquiesced. He was txting and txting away, and since i was bored and just stuck doing laundry, i appreciated something to do. But then he was even MORE flirtatious, to the point where i started thinking "Maybe he ISNT just bein friendly, because this is a little excessive". So i casually asked him "Are you trying to be flirty, or is it just on accident?", that way its not too offensive if he sincerely didnt mean to act like that.
But nope, sadly i was 100% right, he was flirting with me. He told me he thought i was interesting and attractive and that he obviously liked me. My first reaction? AHHHHHH!!!!! I was freaked out! Not just because id never really thought of him that way, but because it literally came out of NOWHERE! Im not exaggerating, here, we had hardly ever talked before, and even at the party he wasnt flirtatious, just neutral. So i told him that and he said "yeah, i know, but i like to watch people and learn about them, even if we dont talk. sorry you were a victim ;)" . So im like AHHH!! again because this wasnt a new development, hes apparently liked me for a little while. When i asked he said "The first time i heard you sing in the chorus room pretty much did it for me"...... AHHHHH!! Thats a REALLY long time, like months!
So i officially had a cow and flipped out and called my bff and didnt know what to do because i was confused and didnt want to hurt his feelings but it was all still too sudden. She didnt have much to say, so i just kept stressfully folding clothes and muttering to myself until i got up the courage to tell him "Sorry, but i really dont think i like you as anything more than a friend." He seemed to take ok and he said he understood, and yet he STILL has yet to stop flirting, so idk what on earth to do anymore. Why is it ALWAYS the wrong guy that likes me? Cant i get a break and just once like a nice, funny guy who likes me back? Life confuses the hell out of me, but what else is new.
Stay Utterly Hopeless! ;)

Christmas in July, New Years in June
You know how everyone makes those New Years Resolutions, carefully listing out all the things they hope to do in the next year (or NOT do, in the case of drugs). The way i see it, this tactic could also be easily applied to summer vacation goals, and so i will prove my point with yet another list-format blog. I apologize for the slump in creativity, maybe some bright colors will help! lol ;D
-Get a job
-Write / finish a play
-Schedule a drama club summer event
-Spread the joy of Quelf everywhere i go
-Get my driver's license (so i can actually DO all these things)
-Buy a cheap but decent car
-Take as many FLVS courses as possible for extra credits and a way to keep my mind agile
-Beat Spyro 2, already, so you can move on to 3!! lol
-Try to create inventive blog ideas, not like these crappy ones ive written lately
-Help Chelsea register at Babies R Us
-Finish my summer reading books as early as possible
-Rock my senior portraits :)
Stay Determined! ;)

Nature VS. Nurture
I think ive had an epiphany. Tonight my parents had a big fight, and though they dont do this often i still HATE when they do because both of them are too "high and mighty" to accept advice, help, or sympathy from a stupid teenager. My parents are almost perfect except for this minute flaw, which is why i try not to complain. But for the sake of venting i DO find these little immature spurts quite intolerable and childish. All i ever try to do is help; im not condescending or overly-enthusiastic in the least. All i say is something like a meek "Are you guys ok?" or "Can i do anything to help?" and they yell and tell me to go away and mind my own buisiness. Yet again, it could be a lot worse. Besides, i understand that they are not themselves when theyre upset and that being a perfect parent and spouse is hard to juggle all at once.
Back to my main point. After their fight, as i was scrambling to make dinner for everyone and convince Mikey to play a board game with me so i could calm myself and those around me, it suddenly hit me that my entire personality is diffusive. In other words, every detail and idiosyncracy about my dreams, traits, and habits are all custom built to tailor my need to satisfy everybody and make them happy. I dont think this is necessarily a bad thing, but it got me thinking about how this all came to be. Was i simply born with this boundless caring and empathy, or was it the result of my constant exposure to aruements in my enviornment and the early childhood instinct to "make the bad things stop happening"?
For those of you who are wondering if i come from some tough, dictatorship of a home, please reverse your chain of thought. Yes, i am always seemingly in a dramatic enviornment throughout childhood, but this is not limited to my household. Furthermore, my household was ALWAYS tranquil and nurturing, so dont go yelling at my parents that they should be ashamed of themselves, because the arguements never came from them.
Moving on, here are some key diffusive factors of my personality:
-stress and feelings of helplessness when others fight; like i cant do anything to calm them down
-constant worry that i cant bring different friends together
-95% of the friends that i make are bold, outgoing, histrionic, and "not normal". aka: im attracted to drama
-i act slightly different with every person i know, tailoring my demeanor, behavior, and etc to make a specific enviornment for each friend so they are more comfortable around me
-obsessing over keeping relationships held together; ALWAYS counseling the boyfriend and girlfriend of troubled couples seperately so that each has a friend to vent to and they can both continue with their relationship (aka: playing matchmaker, even when i dont know one or both parties)
-making a habit of complimenting every person i come into contact with, especially strangers
-taking blame for things that dont go right, be it a friend's relationship or their late assignment
-cooking for people when something goes wrong and i dont know how else to help
-LITERALLY thinking more about my friends' problems than my own
-unbearably patient and never the first to pick a fight. Ever.
All these habits and traits have characterised who i am, but i have to ask if these really are MY personalities or just the result of always "being the helper" when things take a turn for the worst. Sometimes i like being there for my friends almost too much, and i often get a swell of pride whenever i help someone during a rough time. I find myself telling people things like "She's going through a tough time, so i gotta kick my 'best friend duties' into gear this weekend" or "I know he was really angry earlier, i think ill make him some cookies and let him vent to me so he can chill", or even "Im worried about them, but i cant wait to cheer them up by planning them a huge party". Silly as it may seem, im not exaggerating, and ive said all of the things mentioned above and more at different times.
So, my gracious audience, what do YOU think? Be a psychologist for a day and diagnose which you think it is that is effecting my personality, Nature or Nurture? If youre an actual, licensed psychologist thatd be even better! lol Personally, i think its some combination of both, but if i had to choose id say nurture. When it comes down to it, every child tries to take the best of their parents with them and change the worst. My mom's mom was violent and hurtful to my mom, so when she raised me she was especially careful to NEVER lose her temper. She cant be perfect, obviously, so she doesnt realize that she still allows me to hear her and dad's arguements quite clearly, later refusing to let me help. So its only natural that when i grow up and have kids i will want to be just as caring as my mom, but also try to conceal any parental discomfort around the wee ones, and then attempt a weak smile when they say "You should say daddy's handsome like a prince and everything will be all better" so they at least feel like theyre being helpful.
Stay Caring! ;)

Letters to Teachers
Mostly self-explanatory. Written for the wonderful teachers who taught me this year.
Mr. Martin,
Throughout the year, i realize that i have
not been your "model student". I havent been
able to fully understand much about
able to fully understand much about
chemistry, but didnt want to quit honors or
ask for help. I was embarassed and nieve,
and it got the best of me. I thank you for
this school year, regardless, because you
have taught me that without fully applying
myself or trying my absolute hardest to
grasp a subject, i wont be able to just
coast by.
Mrs. E,
I realize that i have not been a very good
student to you this year, and i hope you
might forgive me for that. Instead of asking
for help on things i didnt fully understand,
i sat in silence and tried to figure it out
on my own. You have been such a great
teacher and wonderful role model, but even
though you made math more fun, i still tried
to do things by myself. This proved to be
my downfall, as
i am not very good at math and it takes me
a seemingly longer while to understand it.
Mr. E,
Youve taught me since last year in World
History, so you know how easily i get caught
up in other things instead of schoolwork.
This year i had honestly planned to change
things, but i somehow actually ended up
making my habits even worse for a lot of my
classes. Your Psychology class was truly
one of my favorite and most interesting
classes, but even that was no match for my
unparalleled procrastination. Maybe one day
psychology will develop a cure for THAT!
haha. I only hope you can forgive me for not being a
better student these years ive known you.
Mr. Markum,
This may be the most shameful letter i have
ever written to a teacher, and yet i feel it
must be said. I couldnt be more sorry that
must be said. I couldnt be more sorry that
i wasnt the student you deserve this year.
In class i may be alright, but i havent
taken as much initiative in my assignments
as i ought to. You have been my favorite
teacher this year, and ive learned so much
more from your class than i have in years
of other history classes. You have a truly
unique and endearing teaching style that i
sincerely wish i had shown more grattitude for.
Mrs. Bass,
You probably know me better than anyone at
this high school. Youve taught me for 3
years and seen me through many rough times.
In a lot of ways, you remind me of my own
mother, because you always really looked out
for me with all your best intentions and
made sure to scold me when you know im not
doing as well as i should. For half of this
school year, you have constantly reminded
me to keep up with my work, but, as you
know, i have a terrible habit of getting
off task; a habit i sincerely regret.
off task; a habit i sincerely regret.
I only hope that you
can forgive me for not being the student
you deserve, or as bright and devoted as
i was my freshman year. I can never thank
you enough for everything youve taught me,
especially outside of class. You are truly
one of my greatest teachers, and im sorry.

SAT - Sucky Acronym Titles
Since i just cant decide which one is the best for the title, ill just use them all! Observe my mastery:
..Sorry About That. HA! You thought you were out of the woods ;) So the point of all this was to tell you about my SAT, obviously. This morning i awoke with confidence; I had studied numerous times, had gained years of already impressive vocab, and the odds to increase my score were in my favor since i had taken it before. Life was good. The test seemed longer for some reason, though, but i think this is mainly because i wasnt rushing through the whole thing like last time. Ahh, AP tests, if i learned anything from you it was how to pace myself :D The test was so much less stressfull now that it was more of a "been there, done that" kinda attitude, so i really hope i got a good score.
For those of you who don't know, a perfect score on the SAT is 2400; 800 possible points each section. The average score is about 1450-1500. The first time i ever took the SAT i got a 1750, which made me swollen with pride. However, theres always room for improvement, and since my GPA aint exactly 3.5 and my forte is standardized testing, i figure ill keep taking it till i ace it with flying colors.
If anything, i hope my score in reading at least went up. Surprisingly, though it is my area of expertise, i got a little too cocky and rushed with my guessing last time, so i actually scored my lowest on it. Can you believe it? Me getting a higher score in MATH than reading. Anyway, if i can at least improve that score, the College Board will combine my best math with my best reading, so theres no way i can lose :)
As far as my social life goes, the rest of my day went great, though i was stuffed like a thanksgiving turkey. When Gramma picked me up after the test, i was staring and asked if we could go to The Loop, this pizza place i had been craving all week. I ate an entire pizza and a shake and almost 2 shakes solely on my own. I was in delicious pain. lol Just 30 minutes after we got home, however, my friend LyQuyen, whom i have been fighting with for the last 6 months and scheduled to move away during the summer, came over and apologized and invited me to her going away party which was currently taking place. This was good news, because i had wanted to make peace with her before she left, but i was stuffed! She's of asian descent, and so from the moment i walked in, just as i suspected, she began shoving deliscious asian food down my throat.
I wanted to keep eating, but by this time i was literally in deep food-induced, comatose heaven. All i wanted to do was roll over on my stomach and take a nap, but out of politeness (especially after not talking to her for so long), i gathered the energy to go into the other room and be my usual party-girl self. haha The party got even better once everyone started leaving, because then it was just me, Lyquyen, her little cousin, and a mutual friend named Ceedrick. We all just chatted and sang along as Ceedrick showed off his piano skills late into the night. Tired and full, i spent the night over there. It's good to have her back :)

Graduation was late the night before, and waking up this early so their Skills Are Tested will cause them to be Sleeping All Tuesday. Sexy And Topless mothers, Somewhere Around Twenty, are Sending A Thought to their testing children, while Showers And Toilets are the only thoughts the children are thinking. After opening the Self Adhering Technology, the test begins.

Entering The Real World
Tonight was a sad stepping stone for me as i watched all my beloved seniors march down the football feild, decked out in their finest caps and gowns. I will TRY not to linger on the fact that i miss them so much already, because ive already mentioned that in countless other blogs. "We get it, you miss them, MOVE ON!" i can almost hear you guys saying. lol
Therefore, i shall discuss other highlights of this momentous event. It was very hot and muggy, for one, which caused my adorable, scrunched hair to frizz outta control! That never gets old T.T "Hair, thou art my mortal foe!" lol Chelsea and i also started the trend of screaming like crazy people every time someone we knew was called up, especially for Scott amd Tiffany. You see, i am just SO awesome that i happen to be personal friends with the salutitorian, who wrote and recited a fabulously inspiring speech, and the chorus nerd, who performed a beautiful rendition of The Star Spangled Banner that nearly moved me to tears.
Rewind a little bit, though, and ill tell you about how i got my tickets. You can only get tickets from knowing a senior that is willing to give up one of their's; in other words, you have to be like family. I was bragging to EVERYONE in class when Scott had my ticket delivered to class, along with an extra "just in case". I thought it was just the coolest thing that i was personally invited to go to graduation by the Salutitorian himself! :)
Basically, it was just like any other high school graduation; lots of happy people, lots of sad people, crazy traffic, and 2 hours longer than its supposed to be! lol I cant wait to see what the future holds in store for these wonderful friends of mine, and i hope maybe ill see them again over the summer.
Stay Proud! ;)

Final Prep
Today is what i consider the last "working day" of the schoolyear. All my textbooks are turned in, all my dues paid, and the rest of the year just drifting by. Tomorrow will be a sea of in-class movies and final exam reviews, so nothing new there. Fun Fact: Tomorrow, i just realized today, is also the last school lunch of the year. Odd. Senior graduation is also tomorrow, which will be a blast. Then saturday is weird / semi-conveniant because i have to take the last SAT of the year followed by a senior party. So an early, stressfull start and a late, fun-filled end to my day.
Sunday will be ALL WORK, which will kinda suck, especially with all my family home to give me easy excuses to keep myself busy procrastinating, but no matter what ive got to remind myself that all these little extra credit things im doing for each teacher will improve my final grades for the end of the year. This is crucial, so no foolin-around. All next "week" are my exams, but there are only 3 days and theyre all only half days. 2 exams a day and im finally done. Ugh, i will be so tired. Oh well, thats what naps are for :)

Having a Toddler Moment
I've done the math, and if we're lucky and Chelsea maybe has her delivery just like a week late or something, she could have a March baby!! Yay! Why do i care? Oh yeah, ive forgotten there are a few people who read this besides me; My birthday's in March, and since im gonna be the person planning the baby shower, and one day hopefully FAAAARR from now, the wedding, that makes me the baby's most important not-blood-related-relative, so i therefore deserve to share the birthday month with the baby. I think its a good sign, and like my best birthday present EVER! lol
*sigh* It almost feels as though i get the best situation out of everybody, because i get all the fun of the child, and get to help raising it as practice for my own one day, (dont worry, Mom, FAAAARRR from now) but i dont have to put in the full 24 hours like Chelsea or James or their parents will have to. The worst "stress" i have to deal with is being the best friend while she's going through those crazy pregnancy-induced mood swings, but to me that sort of thing is fun. Crazy, i know, but i LOVE being a best friend; i wish it was a paying job in which i could specialize. Could you imagine? A "degree" in friendship? Oooh, the wonderous possibilities :)
There i go, rambling on again. Where was i? Oh yeah, BABIES! haha All im gonna say is Chelsea, you better suck in that gut for a few extra days so i can have my dream March birth, got it? If you do, i promise to bring you as tons of icecream, pickles, onions, peanut butter and orange soda or whatever else you crave. Pleeeeease?! lol
Stay Energetic! ;)

Christy Answers Questions :)
This week is going to be boring, no lie. There are no seniors to hang out with anymore, as i mentioned *cough* whined! *cough* earlier. There are no more homework assignments or projects for school, besides the usual rushing around to suck up to teachers, of course. I cant really plan on anything interesting happening, short of my impending final exams, the last SAT of the year, and the senior graduation ceremony, so consider yourself warned. As a creative outlet, i have decided to answer interesting questions that ive found on websites or that have been asked of me lately. Here goes nothing!
What 3 things would you bring to a desserted island, obviously excluding anything needed for survival or escape?
((its hard to think of something thats not technological, as that feels like cheating))
-Chelsea. She's where the party's at, and shed keep me from going insane... Plus she'd make a great casserole when supplies run out. Mmm!
-A humungous book of varied plays that i would perform in my endless spare time, using coconuts as props and/or understudies
-A big box of all the best games; Would you rather, Quelf, and Guesstures
You're dying tonight. Plan out your last meal, your last words, and how you want to go.
((a little on the creepy side, but an intriguing enough question))
-My last meal is Dad's ribs with homemade sauce, Mom's Spaghetti, and Party Time icecream
-My last words are "All the good last words are taken"
-My choice of death is a tragic skydiving incident, just cause it sounds fun
Why can't you wait for 2015?
((answered as a huge "Back to the Future" nerd))
Im getting a hoverboard, biyatch!! And a jacket that says "Your jacket is now dry" in an awesome robot voice. Thatll be swell! :D
What're you gonna do over the summer?
Driving, getting a job, going on a short road trip with the family, wishing i was in a summer theatre production, and a whole lot of mischeif making and guy-hunting :)
Ryan Reynolds, Michael Buble, and Tobuscus, all magically transformed back into teenagers. You've got to "screw" one, marry one, and kill one. Go!
((Agh! Why are these questions so hard?!))
-Kill Michael Buble :(
-Screw Ryan Reynolds
-Marry Tobuscus
Stay Introspective! ;)

PS: Got a question for me? I dare you to post it in the comments :)

What to Do On a Rainy Day
Games, games, and more games. That's what you do, anyone would agree. With my extra day off from school, thats basically all i did. First, there was Quelf, the best board game you will ever play in your entire life. It's basically a random mixture of different cards that you have to obey to get to the end. I've mentioned this incredible game on several different blogs. Either way, this time I played with Mikey and His friend, Will, who kept insisting that he was "too cool for this game" when he lost. One of my favorite cards was the one that procliamed "Every time a phone or doorbell goes off, everyone must stand up and say 'Pizza Party!' The last player to do so must pay the penalty". I also enjoyed Will and Mikey's Pantomimed Airplane Safety Demonstration. It was pretty hilarious, to say the least.
The next game id like to talk about is "Just Dance" for the Nintendo Wii. It's an odd game, i will admit, because it looks a heck of a lot easier than it actually is. The goal is to score as high as you can by selecting a song and imitating whatever dance move the character on the screen is doing, all while holding your remote so the sensors can detect it. The key is to really suck at dancing. Seriously! lol My mom would barely move at all, she was off-beat, and she randomly spazzed out when the dance got a little faster, and yet she scored off the charts, often in the 500-600 range. Meanwhile, Dad and I would hit every step perfect, in perfect rythm, and we could barely scrape by with a measely 100-200 score! It's a workout, though, and by the time youve finished a few songs you're sweating, exhausted, and hungry. lol
Spyro 2 for the Playstation 1 was my final game, though i definitely spent the most time on it. I perfected every level in Summer Forest and all but 2 of the levels in Autumn Plains, all in one day. I havent played the game in years, so everything was still new to me. I think some of the hardest quests ive done today were completing "Ocean Speedway", keeping the semi-suicidal baby turtles from jumping into the strange bird's soup in "Sunny Beach", the trolley quest in "Breeze Harbour", and pretty much everything in "Magma Cone". Im really getting into the game, though, and so far i've rediscovered how easy it is to fall in love with a trustworthy Playstation 1. Sometimes it's the simple things in life, like board games and older gaming systems, that are the must entertaining.
Stay Fun! ;)

Silly Americans
Memorial Day: An American holiday that commemorates soldiers who died while in military service
Celebration Choice: Pool-side BBQ's
While I fail to see the connection, i DONT fail to have a good time! WHOO!! lol Today i went to a pool party with my family at a friend's house to commemorate dead people! (haha) There was a grande feast of corn, ribs, beans and macaroni, and it was the perfect weather for hours of aquatic fun. Hooray for war! (haha x2)
Speaking of silly americans, however, i'd like to point out a few ridiculous things that happened at this particular gathering of native U.S. residents:
It's silly to...
-Swim right after eating. Therefore, you shouldnt serve food RIGHT by the pool!
-Slide down a rickety, plastic, 10 foot, very thin slide while its dry. May cause scabbing of the hip.
-Wear a loose-fitting bikini
-Wear a tight-fitting bikini
-Bring crossword puzzles to a party based around water
-Pet a hairy dog with a wet hand
-Assume that "dessert" always includes chocolate
Stay Patriotic! ;)

Behold: The Male Menstraul Cycle
Chelsea's boyfriend, James, is currently out of state visiting family until Monday. This is the main reason (besides my unmatched beauty and charm, of course! lol) why Chels came over this weekend. She wanted to try and get her mind off him and have fun with her bestie. Too bad James's vacation just-so-happened to fall on his "time of the month", because his erratic behavior and violent mood swings were too crazy for us to even comprehend. I wonder if they make diapers in his size. (Snap!)
Ok, ok, there are too many spiteful blows and not enough information to back it up. Allow me to elaborate: Chelsea and i were having a blast today making videos with my mom's webcam. I helped her accomplish all 25 online Quelf Webcam Challenges (which were HILARIOUS!) and then we settled down and just made random videos on Facebook. Nothing wrong with that, right? Apparently, wrong. We told James to check out the vids and when he did he was outraged. "What was he so mad about?" You may wonder. "You must've done something very bad to upset him!" Nope. He was upset because we called up our guy friend because we were bored and wanted to film us talking to someone. That's it. We even called him, too, and said "James is funner anyway", but that wasnt good enough.
What WAS good enough was 8 hours of James's yelling at Chelsea over the trivial affair. How mature. He threatened to break up with her even when he knew about their baby; HIS baby. He said he was gonna call up some chick he knows that lives near where he's staying, just so he could spite her. When questioned about why he wouldnt just let it go (after like 4 hours or so of Chelsea crying and apologizing), all he would say was "You know if CHELSEA got mad like this, she would do the same thing!" I beg to differ; just because she's HAVING a child doesnt MAKE her a child. Furthermore, even if she were to show such adolescent behavior, why would you choose to imitate the dumb behavior over all of the responsable things she does? In other words, you're the idiot.
This whole mess truly infuriates me. Chelsea and i were having SUCH a great day before Little Miss Cranky decided to call us up and whine. We were trying on clothes in Bealle's, goofing off in the dressing rooms. I was helping her occupy her time while he weasn't around; she deserved at least ONE stress-free day to herself, without freaking out over the baby or her failing relationship or her mom or school, but he couldnt even give her that. She was laughing about a skanky Little Bo Peep dress i was modeling just moments before he called. Moments after, she couldnt even eat lunch. He doesnt even realize what kind of hurt he caused, what kind of day of happiness he made her miss out on.
It took me hours before i could even get her to smile again, you worthless piece of crap. Either get your act together and turn back into the man we all know and love; the man that makes us all smile; the man that couldnt wait to be a father... or choose to remain the complete douche-bag of a boy that you're being right now and get the hell away from her, or so help me, I will personally see that you obtain the most cruel, ungodly torture that anyone could ever give - The Princess Bride Punishment:
"The first thing you lose will be your feet, below the ankles, then your hands at the wrists. Next, your nose. Then your left eye, followed by your right. You will keep only your ears, so that every shriek of every child at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish; Every woman who cries out, 'Dear God, what is that thing?' will echo in your perfect ears. I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever."

16 and Pregnant
No, im not talking about that lame MTV show, either. (You heard me: lame!) I'm talking about my best friend Chelsea. I know, right? Its crazy. She's had so many scares in the past 8 months her and James have dated, but even after all those false alarms they still managed to sucessfully get pregnant. (Apparently, his seed was pretty determined! lol) Im pretty sure this time its serious because she's almost 3 weeks late and she's had a lot of morning sickness and loss of appetite. She wants to keep it.
Where do i begin? At first, i was REALLY worried about the whole thing because when she told me she didnt seem to care; It was almost like all those false alarms made her impervious to shock, and that was a BAD sign. Having a baby is no small thing, so if youre pregnant you BETTER be alarmed! But aftre talking to her for a while, she was sure to express her worry, which made me glad that she was finally realizing the gravity of the situation. Chelsea loves kids, and i know she'll be a great mother, but things obviously would have been better if she had waited. Still, her courage, dedication and responsability are some of the many reasons why i love her, and its easy to respect her choice.
My main questions though are about her housing. She told her mom yesterday, and she supports her ("emotionally, but not financially", which is understandable), but Chelsea doesnt want to live in such a crowded house, especially with her mother's drinking, the animals inside, and all the creepy neighbors right down the street. But what then? She could move in with her boyfriend, but his dad smokes like a chimney. But what other options are there? Neither one has enough money for a house of their own, not to mention one with enough space and safety to support a child. Their last chance would be to move in with a close friend or relative, but again there are problems with smoking, room, money, and safety.
I may be the only shot theyve got. My mom has said in the past that Chelsea always has a home with us while she's in college, and this would only be an extra year (technically). The only problem would be making room. Our house is fairly big, but we have a current residence of 7: Mom, Dad, Mikey, Me, Grandma, Grandpa, and our close family friend, Rick. You see, our modest family of four increased when Grandma's house was so run-down it had to be foreclosed. We fixed it up, sold it for near nothing, and let them live with us. And during Rick's tough divorce, Mom and Dad had the hospitality to clear out the entire craft room and turn it into a spare bedroom until he could find a place of his own. So you can see how we kind of have our hands full enough already. Still, there may be hope if we could somehow fit Chelsea and her baby into my room. I guess timing is everything, and all we can do is hope.
On the bright side, without discussing the obvious financial and emotional troubles this child is going to create, just imagine the baby shower possibilities! haha Chelsea's staying the night, and we were thinking we could most likely do it at my house, because the church would probably not allow it and the Oakleaf Ballroom is cool but kindof expensive, and would there really be THAT many people? That place is huge! lol Seriously, though, i am SO in charge of planning it, whether she knows it or not :) haha We're gonna play games, eat a lot of really good food, and then play more games! lol The presents will be amazing, i know, because Chelsea has a lot of very generous friends and family, because she's simply the best there is and everyone will want to help. That part, at least, im looking forward to :)
Stay Hopeful! ;)

Leaving The Nest
Now that it's officially the end of the school year, ive come to find out (too late, i might add) that ALL of my best friends are seniors. I never actually realized how many of my friends were seniors until today, when i walked into almost every class to discover a menagerie of empty seats where all my favorite classmates once sat. In the infamous words of one of my favorite teachers, Mr. Markum, Theyve all been Nsync'ed: They're "Gooone!" lol
Im going to miss them all sooooooo much, and these last few days of school are going to seem nearly empty and meaningless without all these magnificent people. Unluckily for me, that new high school is opening up just down the street from me, which means even a lot of my classmates that ARENT seniors are leaving me, too! So allow me to take this moment to reflect on all my friends who are, unfortunately, leaving me behind:
-Scott
-Paige
-Drew
-Tiffany
-Rebbekah
-Kyle
-DJ
-Brittany
-Cedric
-Christina S
-Loretta
-TJ
-Janina
-Amanda
-Bianca
-LyQuyen
Among these people are not only my friends, but truly beneficiaries to our School Community. Scott was salutitorian (2nd highest grades for entire graduating class!) and Drama Club Pointskeeper. Drew was named "Best Artist" of the entire graduating class, got into the Senior Hall of Fame, and was president of the Drama Club, Schools 4 Schools, and was extremely active in band and colorguard. Rebbekah was FCCLA president, Drama club Costumes Coordinator, and got into the Senior Hall of Fame. Paige was President of Eco Force and Drama Club Historian. Tiffany was Chorus President (and All Star), winner of Mr Markum's heralded "Bloody Shirt" award in APUSH, and Senior Hall of Famer. Not only does this prove that I, personally, have impeccable taste in friends, but it also just goes to show what a sensational mass of talent my school will be missing out on next year. These friends of mine have not only left behind a big peice of themselves in my heart, they have left behind a legacy that cannot easily be replaced in this or any lifetime. For all you wonderful seniors, I wish you only the best of luck in college and in life, and thank you for giving me high standards to live towards :)
Since im now in "reflection mode", i might as well confess that i feel like my entire high school career is hitting me especially hard all at once. Next year i'll be a senior. How scary is that? Next week im taking my SAT, soon i'll be posing for my senior portraits, then i'll be getting a summer job, and getting a car and actually DRIVING, then ill have to buy my cap and gown, my yearbook, my tickets for homecoming and prom, dresses and limo's and haircuts and makeup; its all too much to bear! Summer days will just blur together and suddenly i'll be meeting all my new teachers and before i can even blink it'll all be over!! It scares me to death, i tell ya. Every day im getting closer and closer to filling out forms for college acceptance and scholarships, closer and closer to getting my diploma, closer and closer to going to college, closer and closer to moving out, closer and closer to actually having to CHOOSE a career, closer and closer to a home and a husband and children, its all enough to sicken me to my stomach.
I know this is all paranoid ramble, but there are just SO mnay things that i wish i could do over. When i finally get to the point of graduation, im going to stop and wonder: Could my grades have been better? Could i have been more outgoing and friendly? Could i have done more extra-curiculars? Could i have taken different classes? Could i have taken time to appreciate the little things? Could i have stopped to think about what i want to do with my life? Could i have saved more for college, house payments, and career training?
Stressing myself out? Yeah, i think i am. But if i didnt stop to wonder, it'd all pass me by, one day after another until Boom: I'M the one leaving the nest.
(PS: I think ive finally figured out what my shout-outs are gonna be! Instead of simply "stay nifty", every day will be a different word, mainly based on whatever the blog was about for that day. Not only is it a catchy and unique sign-off, it signifies the advice that i can make for myself and my audience. Today will be the first)
Stay Contemplative! ;)

Now You're a MAAAAN!
Today was such a crazy day i dont even know where to begin. My best male friend, Scott, turned 18 today, thereby magically transforming him into a man. This unleashes a world of possibilities, such as the right to vote, buy cigarrettes and porn, see an R-rated movie, et cetera. So to celebrate Scott's glorious day of birth, The Terrible Trio (Scott, Paige, and I) set out on a day of adventure!!
After school, we all piled into Scott's car and thought of places to go. So for a few minutes we browsed around in Dollar Tree and didnt really buy anything. Scott looked at books, Paige looked at a present for her bf (Matt), Paige and I pondered the idea of buying greasy little gummy rats for our APUSH teacher (Markum), I seriously adored this giant icecream holder thing (i love icecream), i nearly peed my pants when i saw this funny movie title (Incident on a Dark Street), all of us marveled at the $1 3oz steaks, and we continued our quest.
Paige wanted to show me the ins and outs of thirft store shopping, and so we rushed to the nearby Goodwill to look around. Scott wasnt as enthused as we were by all the adorable, cheap dresses, but this was all part of his manliness training, of course! lol Paige and i took a few cute pics of us strutting our stuff in a myriad of stylish dresses, some crazier than others. We tried on and vogued a lot, but my personal favorite was the rainbow sequin dress: Formal wear for all my circus needs! haha ;D Eventually, though, we decided to leave and continue with our search for fun.
We journeyed far and wide till we reached Target, where we splurged on Starbuck's while i publicly dictated Scott on the ways of becoming a man...
Barista: How may i help you?
Scott: Id like a frappuccino, please
Barista: Ok, what flavor?
Scott: Uhmmmm.....
Me: Just order what you want, already! Real men dont waste time!
Scott: Ok, ill take coffee flavor (mocha?)
Barista: What size, sir?
Scott: I think i want a small....
Me: NO! Small is for boys, get a venti! Real men get the largest drinks!
Scott: Fine, venti please
Me: NO! A real man would just smack me around and tell me to shut up and let him make his own decisions!!
Haha :) On the way out of Target we modeled a few hats for our bff photo shoot; You know i cant resist. Next we went to the gas station so Scott could get his first lottery ticket, and thats where all the dirty jokes began to pour out. Without thinking, i started saying these badly-worded inuendos in front of the cashier guy, who just couldnt stop laughing the entire time. It all started when we walked in and said "Birthday boy, comin through!". He asked how old Scott was turning and we said 18. The first words out of my mouth were "Yup, we're gonna make him a man tonight!" "Woah!" bellowed the cashier, and we all immediately started cracking up. Shortly after, we were deciding which doughnuts we wanted when i said something like "Dont worry, Scott, we're giving you a special gift!" Again, the cashier made a comment and we all laughed. My favorite joke, though, was when Scott was paying for his lottery ticket and i said "Someone's gettin lucky tonight!!" We laughed so hard our eyes were watering, and as we walked out the cashier looked at Scott and said "I hope your birthday goes as well as shes saying it will!" XD
Finally, we made our way to my house, where we chilled out and played Quelf for a little while. In case you didnt know, Quelf is the most fun, most random, most creative, most simple board game ever created, and until you play it your life is not complete. If you dont believe me, check it out for yourself on Wikipedia or their personal website, here. I was Queen Spatula, Scott was The Platypus, and Paige was Super Ninja Spider Monkey. To play the game, all you have to is do what the cards tell you to and be the first person to the finish line. For example, my cards told me to stick a peice of paper to my head using peanut butter and try to beat box a song about animals. Paige's cards told her to make a funny noise every time she moved her character and challenge Scott to a finger duel in slow motion. Scott's cards told him to put on lipstick and act like a confused mime trapped in an invisible box with 4 rabbid ferrets. Later on my brother joined in on the fun, and he had to bark ferociously at anything that came within 15 feet of the game board, which just so happened to be my grandma. I told you this game was crazy ;) haha
Once all this craziness was over my parents invited Scott and Paige to a birthday dinner at Osaka, a nearby japanese steakhouse. They cook your meals right in front of you on the hot hibachi grill, so its like your very own show. Between getting sprayed by a "japanese firefighter" (a toy that "pees" on you when you squirt it) and watching Scott blow out his candle, it was a great dinner. I got to yell at Scott again for not being a man when he didnt finish his dinner or icecream: Real men clean their plates! Furthermore, since i finished all of mine AND had to finish Paige's rice and my brother's, that made me more of a man than Scott. lol Once we finished dinner, we all took turns showing Scott some "manly dances", such as the wave, the swim, the lawnmower, the sprinkler, and of course the "gun dance" to the 70's - 80's hit song "Stayin Alive".
At the end of the day, I think we all had a wonderful time. It was a blast to have such a great time with 2 of my closest friends, and its sad to think that this could be one of the last times i see them for a long while. You only turn 18 once, and as for you, Scott...... Im sure youll be a REAL man someday! lol
PS: Dont forget to see all the crazy pics on the photo page!
Stay Nifty! ;)

Angst and Explanations
I DONT like you.
I never will.We are too different.
I dont trust you in the slightest.
No one has a nice word to say about you.
You are a cheater.
Im afraid to be alone with you.You always strain to set us up this way.
I despise your innocent facade.
I know i shouldnt trust you
..yet i still want to let you in.
You screw with my mind.
You lack any iota of personal hygeine.
Im wary of your dating history and track record.
I loathe your braggadocious attitude.
I never want to bring you home to my parents.
Stop asking.
I never want to go to your house.
Stop asking.
I never want to surrender any part of me to you.
Stop asking.
I hate how you constantly suck me back in.
I wish for the day where i can stop talking to you without feeling guilt.
I hate feeling like the bad guy.
I despise that you just dont get it.
I DONT like you.

Breakin The Law! - Social Norms
A project I have recently finished for AP Psychology. Enjoy :)
In every modern society, there are certain unspoken "rules" which we do not break. When you first meet someone and greet them by shaking hands, you do not make this shake typically any longer than a few seconds. People give people a set amount of personal space and expect the same in return. When the usual person walks in an elevator, they refrain from talking and just stare at the numbers. It may seem silly, but these are but a few rules in society that could be a big no-no to break, and that's exactly what i plan on doing. I will be breaking 3 social norms, in public at the Orange Park Mall, and documenting the reactions of 3 victims of each. What will happen when i break someone's comfort zone? The results will amaze you.
High-Fiving: Holding up your hand for someone to smack as a sign of approval or sucess. This action is mostly limited to friends and relatives, but everyone should have a little encouragement in their day! My first test subject was a girl trying on clothes in Pac Sun. She was modeling her style in a new blue shirt and skinny jeans, so decided to boost her confidence. I raised my hand and said in my nicest voice, "Who's looking good?! High-Five!!". She was a little confused at first, but when her friend started laughing and told her to do it, she finally slapped my still-awkwardly-raised hand. I, of course, whooped in the middle of the store to show my thanks, and then walked mysteriously away. The next person wasnt so nice. He was a sullen-looking boy in Hot Topic, purchasing a punk cd and a "Korn" shirt. I thought it was perfect timing on my part, because the young man had decided on this fateful day to use his Member Discount Card, and so i cheered "Saving money! High-Five!!", though he wasnt as thrilled and simply carried out his purchase without even acknowledging my existence and walked swiftly out of the strore with his bag. The cashier smiled a little though, and finally gave me a high five after holding my hand there for quite a while. Upon going to my favorite resturaunt in the mall, "Big Easy Cajun", I encountered my final prey, the hard-working Free Samples Girl. After i tried the sample, i said a very loud and innappropriate "Deliscious! High Five!!" and raised my hand. This victim was especially helpless, as she was holding a large tray of samples and deemed unable to high-five. She seemed very dis-sinterested, though, and once she slowly realized i wasnt joking she apologized and pointed to her tray, making sure to avoid eye contact, as if she were willing me away. I held my hand there for at least a full minute while she was just staring into space pretending not to see me while serving other prospective customers. After a long wait, i finally said a dissppointed "Aww..." and sulked off.
I decided my next conquest would be to go from store to store listening for songs that i knew, start singing them, and ask people to join in. People generally avoid this kind of fun-loving behavior while in public, and yet everyone jams out when they're just "chilling with the homies". They say music heals the soul, but apparently this healing process is a private affair. Time to break the norm. The first place i could think of that plays music in their store was, naturally, FYE (For Your Entertainment). This store sells music and movies, making it the perfect target for music-afficianados. I picked up a stack of party cd's that feature songs that most people in the general public would know, such as "I'll tell ya What i Want, What i Really Really Want", "YMCA", "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", "I Like Big Butts" and several others. I popped in the first disc, "Play That Funky Music" (coincidence?) started ringing in my ears, and i sang my heart out. Loudly. After i noticed a few people looking my direction, i slid off my headphone and asked if anyone would like to join me. "Come onnnn, everyone loves this song!". My first target was a hispanic teen with a few of his friends, so they all just laughed at me, mumbling something like, "Naww, Man" and walked as far away as possible, watching me the rest of the time i was in the store. My second victim was actually someone i had seen a few times in school but never talked to, so they felt obligated to answer my call. Here i was, singing obnoxiously for the entire store's listening pleasure, with this girl just standing next to me, laughing and occassionally chiming in a few words of "Respect". She seemed VERY uncomfortable, but i kept saying "Wait, wait, this is the best part!" whenever she made an excuse to leave, and so she stayed awkwardly there for the duration of the song. My third subject wasnt very interested, either, but once i started wailing "My Humps" he laughed, sang like one or two words after i pressured him into it, said "Yeah, i like this song, too", and then walked away blushing with embarassment. Nobody that i met wanted to sing with me. I think they were intimidated by my talent.
Social Norm #3: Bathroom Conversations. By far my favorite experiment, i couldnt help but use it on more than 3 people. Usually, conversation and pleasantries are reserved for outside the stalls of the public bathroom, but you never know when you'll ever get to speak to someone again, so i decided to give a few lucky women the conversation of their lives. The first lady that went into the stall next to me seemed quite off-put when i said "Excuse me, Ma'am, but does it seem cold in here to you?" After making certain that i was, indeed, talking to her, all she would say was that she was using the bathroom. Later, i asked a little old woman if she had 23 cents! The best part: she did! She just pulled it right out of her big, beige purse and handed it to me under the stall. She did ask me why i needed it, eventually, and i just told her i was thirsty. I'll admit, she was an unusually comfortable victim. One confused teenager listened as i droned on and on about how my mother was "being so uncool by making me text her every 30 minutes to make sure I was safe", but she didnt really say much except for the occassional "Uh-huh" and "Yeah". I tried to get one girl open up more, asking her questions like "What's your favorite store?" or "What did you come to shop for today?", but she just made her answers as breif as possible so she could get out of the stall. Later, i was talking to someone about "the troubles of public restrooms" and they just flushed the toilet mid-sentence. Rude! The most common reaction was that nearly everyone tried to be polite and say at least one thing in return, but no one really wanted to start having a friendly chat.
Society may be able to function without these rules, but the general public are never quick to break them. By disregarding these rules, i have learned that a society prefers to stay with what they know, and that failing to comply often results in ostrasization and ridicule. Sticking to the status quo is what keeps our world running smoothly, and if everyone were to corrupt this system of underlying societal rules, life would be chaotic and without order.
Stay Nifty! ;)

An Ode To Nothing
A haiku written about what happened today, on yet another lazy Sunday that i wasted doing nothing of interest, except sleep and eat. In a way, it explains itself :)
Dinner was Awesome.
